Berkano or Berkanan is the rune of healing, renewal, growth, recovery and rebirth. Associated with the birch tree, which announces the arrival of spring, this rune announces new beginnings, rejuvenation and eternal becoming.
Berkano gives life, so one may use it to heal or protect. Associated also with the womb and motherhood, it provides sanctuary for growth and time for development.
