First Row (Aett): Fehu
Meaning: 'Cattle', 'Wealth'

The first Rune begins the cycle. Fehu represents luck, material posessions or wealth, abundance and prosperity. Wealth is important, but it can cause discord among kin. One must use wealth, share it and never hoard it.
Wealth is not only money, but skills, knowledge and nourishment too. Fehu reminds us to be grateful for the many things we already have.
