ARES - God of War

"[...] fierce and untamed, whose mighty power can make the strongest walls from their foundations shake: mortal-destroying king, defiled with gore, pleased with war's dreadful and tumultuous roar." (Orphic hymn to Ares)

The extremely popular God of War, courage and victory in battles, son of Zeus and secret lover to Aphrodite. Ares represents brutality, bloodlust and conquest. SMITE gave him an interesting design, though not as fascinating or complex as that of other deities. I especially liked his shield which resembles a fiery skull.
