Meaning: Mankind

Mannaz is a powerful, very mystical rune. It speaks of the awareness or consciousness of humanity as an interconnected organism. The intellect is particularly influenced through this rune, and so is the invisible connection between all humans. The psyche, thoughts and higher, divine self also flow through Mannaz. The two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, represent mind and memory.
The individual is always part of the whole, and one's actions and thoughts can benefit or damage the community. In northern mysticism it is believed that mankind has a genetic link with the gods (Aesir), and this open the possibility of a realisation that may bring us to become their equals.
