This is a personal recreation and re-imagining of Szał ('Frenzy') by Władysław Podkowińskir, from 1893. The original is not only a superb example of Polish symbolism art but is also a tragic story of unrequited love.
My version however, aims to incorporate a style of gothic stain glass to the picture, as well as an original frame inspired, again, by gothic architecture, as well as Devil May Cry's art style. The number at the bottom will represent the uniqueness of the future print, which will be presented as a limited edition.
To me, the artwork is similar in nature to 'The Chimaera', also showing a naked woman riding a wild horse. This, alongside the title, points to the chaotic nature of human emotions represented by the blind horse. Instead of running away from them in fear, we should embrace the unpredictability of these godly forces that rule our lives and ride them into the future.
